Entry Activities Normal OPERATIONAL C OMMITTMENTS GUARDS In addition to the normal Coy and Bn. H.Q. Guards, the Bn supplied the 53(W) Div H.Q. guard from 14 May 46 to 21 May 46 consisting of 6 N.C.O.s and 24 O.R.s ROAD & VEHICLE CHECKS AND CURFEW PATROLS Road & Vehicle checks and Curfew Patrols have been carried out at frequent intervals by all Coys in the Bn area. TRAINING A Potential NCOs Cadre assembled on the 12 May 46 and dispersed 25 May 46. A number of promotions have been made to individuals with outstanding performances. Coys carried on with normal infantry training during the month. This included weapon training, route marches and organised sports. RECREATION Recreational training has been encouraged throughout the month, and the Bn. Hockey team and Bn. Football team have played other Units within the Division. An Inter-Coy Knock out football Compton within the unit resulted in a win for HQ Coy. The cinema and variety concerts held at the MODERN CINEMA, DINSLAKEN have been well attended. METEOROLOGICAL On the whole it has been a very warm and dry month, although towards the latter part there have been some heavy showers with local thunder.
