Entry The battalion began to withdraw & by 1000 hrs the whole Bn was marching towards embussing pt. Three men were killed in this encounter; 2Lts Emms & Bengay were wounded. While the tps were marching shrapnel shells continued to come from the enemy. This resulted in the death of the 2nd i/c . Major S.G Ford DFC who was struck while superintending the march. 1700 Bn embussed 2200 After a journey which passed through Outenarde the Bn debussed at Petit Lannoy.
