| Entry | Specialist Cadres & Educational classes continued. Lecture given by Major Reith on "Russia". C.O. held MAIWAND DAY conference at 1500 hrs, the following were present. 2 I/C., Adj, P.R.I., QM, R.Q.M.S., and R.S.M. Owing to Div Race Meeting on 21 Sept MAIWAND DAY now postponed until 23 Sept. Bn entering several mules for Div Race Meeting in TOUNGOO. Miscellaneous. (1) Officers who embarked ex U.K. March 42 & B.O.Rs who embarked ex UK March & April 42 to proceed on Pythen 27 to RANGOON on 20 Sept, numbers affected 2 officers, (O.C. 'D' Coy & Adj) & 60 B.O.Rs including most of Senior Sgts. (2) A package of newspapers were received from Mrs Shephard, London S.W.12 for distribution to men of Bn. Greatly appreciated by all. (3) Staff Captain (Welfare) 19 Div, visited Bn. (4) 50 men of Bn went to MAWCHI HIPPODROME, TOUNGOO to see film "Melody Inn". |
