| Entry | [Beginning of 28/8 missing.] (2) Bn spent day in moving into new areas, and Administration. Administration. (1) Col, Div Sys visited Bn to assist in any troubles of Signal Pl. (2) Civil Education intensified & Officers asked to give lectures on any civil occupation. Miscellaneous. (1) At 2100 hrs a fire occurred in ZEYAWADI, when a block of natives bashas caught fire. The fire was about 200 yards from Bn M.T and A.T. Fire ball was sounded and Bn went to work & after 1 1/2 hrs hard work the fire was contained & reduced to smouldering debris. A guard of 1 Sgt & 24 men was posted over fire which did not break out again. Area completely burnt approx 100 yards by 50 yards. (2) Daily Train Service between TOUNGOO and ZEYAWADI put into operation & cxxxxx by Bn. (3) Thanksgiving Number of "The Dagger" new sheet attached. |
