Entry Locations. Bn completed move to new areas as follows Bn HQ, 'HQ', 'A' & 'C' Coys at ZEYAWADI. 'B' and 'D' Coys at NYAUNGCHIDAUK. Operational commitments of the Bn now virtually finished. For the first time since June 18 Bn had proper buildings to sleep in. C.O. received personal letter from Brigadier J.R. Morris, D.S.O., comdg 62 Bde congratulating him on the fine work done by the Bn whilst under his command. Administrative. (1) Attached Order of the Day by Lt, Gen F.I.S. Tuker, C.B., D.S.O., O.B.E., Offs Comdr 4 Corps on conclusion of Jap war. (2) Attached, The Dagger, Victory News number of 19 2nd Div on surrender of Japanese. (3) It was publically announced that the Japanese war was over. Miscellaneous. Capt McInnes M.C., Capt Bethane, M.C., & Lt Sanders, Australian officers who volunteered to join the British Army. These officers posted to the 2nd Battn, The Royal Berkshire Regt, & the Bn was very pleased to have these officers in the Bn, who have been through all campaigns in the Pacific. Capt McInnes posted to 'A' Coy. Capt Bethane piosted to 'C' Coy. Lt Sanders posted to HQ Coy (Mortar Pl).
