Location M.S. 33.5 MOSCOW (262947) on Mawchi ROAD, Burma
Entry Locations. (1) Bn less 'A' & 'B' Coys & 2 Sects 3" Mtrs & 2 Pl 'C' Coy situated at MOSCOW MS 33.5. (2) 'A' Coy moved on mule basis to feature (282929) near THITSEDAUNG. (3) 'B' Coy plus 2 Sects 3" Mtrs moved on mule basis to feature (281926). 1 Pl 'C' Coy moved to (263942). 1 Pl 'C' Coy (259944). Operational. No patrols by Bn, treated as far as possible as an Administration day. Miscellaneous. (1) Major Greenway left Bn on 11th August for release in U.K. (Release Group 16). First officer of the Bn to be demobbed. (2) Morale rose considerably on announcement of Japans probable acceptance to place proposals. Probably due to devastation of new Atomic Bomb used by Allies. This Bomb capable of destroying a complete city. (3) Attached photo of Sappers bridging THAUKYEGAT Chaung on MAWCHI ROAD. Bn crossed this footbridge 26 July on route to NEVIS.
