| Entry | Operations. (1) 'D' Coy standing patrol to 198938 reported no enemy seen. (2) 'B' Coy Pl patrol to Pt 1270 (208918) observed 2 sentries at N.W. end of feature. Activity heard including wood cutting. (3) 'A' Coy Pl patrol to PALACE (205937) - track feature (216927) S.W. to PALETWA chaung - N.W. along line of chaung - LOOP reported no enemy seen. PALACE and COURT positions did not appear to have been occupied recently but in PALETWA chaung, S.A.A. & G.D. shells were found. Bashas appeared recently occupied. (4) Arty registered Pt 1270 at 1400 hrs & put down harrassing fire at 1600 hrs followed by 24 rds from 3" Mortars also on Pt 1270. Arty crump on Pt 1270 at 0530 hrs on 2 Aug. Miscellaneous. Div Comdr & Brigadier 62 Bde visited Bn. Div Comdr climbed to top of Bn O.P. and viewed staircase. |
