Entry | Operations: The following routine patrols were sent out:- (1) 'B' Coy. KYETTAIK (0903) - KUNGYAUNG (0602) - KWEDE (401) - Pt 239 (0203). (2) 'C' Coy. KYETTAIK (0903) - KYETTAIK ALE (0903) M.S. 16. (3) 'D' Coy. THANDAUNG - MAWNWEGYI (22). (4) 'D' Coy. THANDAUNG - TAWBYGYI (1409). (5) 'D' Coy. THANDAUNG - KYAUKLONGYI (1523). All above patrols reported 'No enemy seen'. Unconfirmed report received that 100 Japs were 1 days march N.W. of TAWBYGYI (1409). 'D' Coy ordered to send a fighting patrol of 1 Pl to base at TAWBYGYI first light 28 June, and to remain for 24 hours. Training: Remainder of Bn carried out normal training. Inter Coy (less 'D' Coy) Bren competition held in the afternoon. Result as follows:- 1st 'B' Coy. 2nd 'A' Coy. 3rd 'C' Coy. 4th Adm Coy. 5th HQ Coy. This competition was the first of a Bn all arms competition. Administration: C.Os NCO promotion conference held at 0900 hrs at Command Post.
