Location M.S. 16.6 on MAWCHI ROAD., Burma
Entry Patrols as follows:- (1) 'D' Coy 2 day patrol THANDAUNG - KYAUKLONGYI 1523. (2) 'D' Coy THANDAUNG to KODOKA 2612. (3) 'B' Coy CHAUNGHNAKWA - KAWBATCHAN - KYETTAIKALE (36 hrs). (4) 'C' Coy CHAUNGHNAKWA 1202 - NYAUNGBIN SAKAN 0801 - LETPANGWIN - SEINGON - SUBOKYMYAUNG 1409 - NYAUNGBIN SAKAN (36 hrs). 'D' Coy sent special party to TAWBYGYI 1409 to apprehend a local suspected of collaborating with Japs. He was sent back to Div H.Q. C.O. visited 'D' Coy at THANDAUNG. Corps and Div Comds visited the Bn. Bn had a rough time getting under cover (after comfortable time in last area) during heavy rain. 'A' Coy found a mountain gun, 8 shells, range cards and an officers jacket about 300 yds North of Pt 1534 (their Pl position). 'D' Coy intercepted letter written in Italian from Minister at THANDAUNG to a priest in TOUNGOO. Letter sent to Div for translation before being allowed to go on to addressee.
