Entry | 'D' Coy returned to normal location having contacted no enemy. At 0800 hrs 1 Pl 'A' Coy patrolled to following areas which they reported clear of Japs:- LEAINZU ASHEYWE 8448 - KYETPAUNGGYAUNG 8348 - SEZPUGON 8449 - SATANGYI 8346 - CHANDAGON 8446 - MANINGON 8445. Guerillas, however, were sent to all these villages to report back to 'A' Coy if Japs seen. 2 Jap P.W. from 136 Force sent to Div H.Q. both wounded. Remainder of Bn spent normal day training. W.A.S. (B). Canteen visited Bn H.Q. area. At 2200 hrs villagers reported from RAMPUR and PAYLINTSU ANAUK that large party of Japs were foraging and asking locations of British troops. 'D' Coy, HQ Coy, Bn HQ and Adm Coy stood to. Areas immediately West of these villages engaged with Arty and 3" Mtr Armoured Cars patrolled KWEBWE to ZEYAWADI until 2359 hrs. N.E.S. 1 Pl 'D' Coy ordered to investigate first light 16 June. Foraging parties reported in KYETPAUNGGYAUNG considered doubtful, since villagers in this area have recently given alarmist reports.
