Entry All Coys had night of 31 May in normal areas. The Bn had a quiet day except for 1 R. 'C' Coy who moved out at 1500 hrs and acted as protection party for F.O.O. of 115 Fd Regt, R.A. Observed fire was brought down at 1830 hrs on 150 Japs seen by this party at 15 r (902686) but results believed out a little owing to difficulty in wireless comunication. 'C' Coy Pl returned at 2000 hrs. R.As put down another shoot at 2030 hrs from map on connected target - results not known. 2 Rs 'C' Coy ordered to go out at 0700 hrs. 2 June to investigate. Radio Diffusion Gramophone van having a repertoire of 1 HRs duration visited Bn H.Q. and 'C' Coy areas - greatly appreciated by all ranks. At 2100 hrs we asked Div for another 22 set for use by long range patrols. Message sent in Slidex. References to Appendices: None.
