Entry | Dismounted tp 8 Cavalry met no Japs in dawn sweep to ZEYAWADI (8848). 1 Jap P.W. taken by 'C' Coy at SHAWYWA (9078) belonging to a Commando H.Q. Unit, brought to Bn HQ and interrogated by C.O. during an D Gp. 136 Force reported 500 Japs TABEGWE (7190). Airstrike asked for but Div refused. However, 136 Force kept these Japs under observation. 'D' Coy moved to ZIBYUTHAUNG (9174) for 48 hrs with orders to patrol by night to ferry (9076) and SABAGYIANAUK (9069). 'C' Coy ordered to remain out for further 24 hrs until 30 May in view of 136 Force report. 1 Bty 115 Fd Regt R.A. still in support, 'C' and 'D' Coys at BANBWEGON (8173). 136 Force operating by day in area between 'C' and 'D' Coys. 'A' and 'B' Coy training normal. At 1600 hrs 'B' Coy given warning order to move to SITTAUNG (9855) at 1400 hrs 29 May. PRJ met a staff Captain, Welfare at Div H.Q.
