Location Nyaungchidauk, Burma
Entry Members of 136 Force, composed of B.N.A. and A.F.L. (Anti-Fascist Leage) reported during the morning. The task of this force was the maintenance of an information screen out into the hills to the West of the main road axis. A further screen existed along the foothills where the hills and the plain met. In anticipation of the Bns operational commitments 'A' and 'B' Coys moved in M.T. at 1430 hrs to ZEYAWADI 8848, 'A' Coy eventually taking up posns in KYAUNGZU 8748, whilst 'B' Coy sat astride the two road junctions immediately West of the railway in Sq 8848. The Bn, less 'A' and 'B' Coys, remained at NYAUNGCHIDAUK. References to Appendices: Appx J.6. Sketch showing locations on 9 May 45.
