| Entry | At 0700 hrs 'A' and 'C' Coys moved out to beat the area within the following boundaries:- 912978 - 914978 - 924964 - 912959 for snipers as a Jap patrol had been operating in the area of the Rs 9096 during the night. The task was completed by 0900 hrs and no enemy seen. The recce patrol to SHWELE-IN reported it occupied. At 2030 hrs orders were received to establish 1 Pl on the East bank of the SITTANG River at 917971 - Task to prevent enemy crossing over or interfering with bridge 9197. 1 Pl of 'D' Coy carried out this task. 2 N.C.Os and 6 O.Rs from 'D' Coy reported to 4 Corps H.Q. to act as P.W. escort to MEIKTILA.
