Entry | At 0700 hrs 'B' Coy took over posns at 660741 from 1/3 G.R. 99 Bde 17 Div. 'A' and 'D' Coys meanwhile had left PYAWBWE in M.T. at 0500 hrs to proceed to Toungoo 9197. The Bn less 'A' 'B' and 'D' Coys remained in SEINZABIN. At 0730 hrs Lt-Col J du Pre Finch assumed command of 98 Bde tps for Ops in PYINMANA area. Task - defence of PYINMANA. These tps consisted of 8/12 F.F.R. with "B" Coy of 11th Sikhs and 2 Batteries of 115 Fd Regt in support. Further enemy information received later in the day however resulted in the above tps coming under command 9 Bde, 5 Div. At approx 1730 hrs orders were received for the Bn less "A" and "D" Coys to move to TOUNGOO at 1400 hrs on 25th. Reference to Appendice: None. |
