| Entry | A 'B' Coy patrol killed 1 Jap. At 1030 hrs the Bn, less 'D' Coy, the C.Os Platoon and Mortar Pl having concentrated at HTANDAW moved in M.T. to MEIKTILA via YOZON and WUNDWIN. The detachment left behind was disposed as follows:- 'D' Coy HQ & 1 Pl, 1 Pl M.M.Gs & 1 Sec Mtrs at 627536. 1 Pl and 1 Sec Mtrs 626544. C.Os Pl & 1 Sec M.M.Gs and 1 Sec Mtrs 631554. On arrival at MEIKTILA the Bn went into non-tactical posns in the general area of the cluster of villages in squares 3025 and 3125. Bedding rolls were brought up. Reference to Appendice: Appx I.3.
