Entry PEMBERTON FORCE with 1 Coy 11 Sikhs moved out at 0730 hrs followed by Bn H.Q. and H.Q. Coy. Route via cross-roads 493582 - THEDAW 5257 - YOZON. The Bn dug in N.E. of the village with Bde HQ and Adm elements of the 4/4 Gurkha Rifles and the 8/12 F.F.R. in the village itself. The Bn spent the rest of the day digging in on appallingly hard ground. 1 Tp 274 Bty and 115 Fd Regt were in support. MILNFORCE rejoined. The village area was lightly shelled during the day.
