Entry | 'C' Coy moved to Rd Junc 661487. Day spent in patrolling villages to West and to South on MYITNGE River. KINBET 6440 and MYAWKMANDAWYWA, which had been reported occupied, as well as the other villages, were found to be clear. At Nightfall Bn 1/15 Punjabs started arriving in 'A' Coy area, to take over our posns the following day. No other change in our locations. During night, at 0230 hrs, enemy attacked 'C' Coys posn from North. 1 Platoon withdrew South across canal. The attack was not pressed home. It was later learnt that this was a Jap column consisting of A.T. and M.T. attempting a breakaway. Casualties - Nil. Reference to Appendice: None. |
