Location Yonbingon, Burma
Entry "A" moved to WAYONGON in adv to contact leaving 0700 hrs. "D" Coy occupied WAYONGON at 0730. Bn HQ and HQ Coy moved to WAYONGON as soon as road reported clear. Bn concentrated there by 1100 hrs. Orders received from Bde at 1200 hrs to continue advance to YONBINGON (8299) with a view to executing patrolling tasks on MALEGYI and MOGANGYI. Bn less 'B' Coy arrived YONBINGON 1645. B Coy remained WAYONGON to protect Bty of 25 pdrs (115 Fd Regt). Patrol from NATTAUNG (B Coy) 8404 returned at 1500 hrs. They met enemy in certain strength at 836027 sited in depth to N.E. About 20 enemy seen at MALEGYI at 1800 hrs on previous day. During night Arty DF carried out on MALEGYI. Plans made for advance to MOGANGYI following day, and all orders issued at 2130. At 2300 orders received from Bde cancelling operations in MOGANGYI directions and ordering Bn to concentrate with remainder of Bde at 787928 early the following day.
