Entry Bn (less Adm Box) moved to new location as ordered - Bn, less 'B' and 'D' Coys in area S.R. 680028 - 3/4 mile West of River Irrawaddy. 'B' Coy at SHWEDAIK (S.R. 704007). 1 Pl 'A' Coy at MAKAUK (S.R. 723980). 'D' Coy in YEDAW village (S.R. 686045). The area taken over by Bn. HQ, HQ Coy, A and Adm Coys from the 1/6 G.R. had at one time been used by the Japanese, as either an ammunition or stores dump. Some of the excavations are 12 to 15 feet deep, roofed with timber at ground level and the timbers covered over with earth to a depth of 9" or 12" in all forming a room of about 20' by 10' in size, with sufficient head cover to protect against shelling. These underground chambers are cut into the small ridges, which are numerous in the area. Pathways into these chambers are cut level with the ground, the shallow valleys running between the ridges. C.O. visited all Coy areas during the morning and afternoon. Operation Order No 1 issued at 2000 hrs, attached. Reinforcement draft of 2 Cpls and 3 Ptes joined from 25 R/t Camp.
