Entry | Locations at dawn unchanged. D Gp at Bn HQ 0645. Orders given for 'A' Coy with under command 1 Coy Assams & 1 Pl M.M.G. (11 Sikh) to recce in force area Pt 280 after Air Strike and if enemy vacated to occupy posns. Instructions for 28 & 29 Jan also given out. C.O. flew over enemy posns. A Coy moved out from Bn HQ area preparatory to advancing on enemy posns at Pt 280. Air Strike. 1 Sqn Thunderbolts on area Pt 280 at 0935. 1 sqn at 1040. Enemy still in occupation Pt 280. A Coy returned to Bn HQ area. Feint attack carried out during afternoon by 'D' Coy on to East end of 15r supported by Armd Cars. 1430 hrs. D Gp attended by all supporting arms for following days attack on Pt 280. V.C.P. No.2. arrived to control next days air strike. During night 'B' Coy suffered casualties in its own ambush party.
