Location Myothit, Burma
Entry Bn in area 2 miles South of MYOTHIT. Orders received 0930 for Bn less 'D' Coy to proceed to area THINBAUNG (S.R. 6526) with tasks (i) to relieve II Sikh Bn which was surrounded by enemy in area KABWET (S.R. 6720) and to clear enemy from this area. (ii) to eliminate enemy in area YONBIN (S.R. 6418). 'C' Coy of 8 F.F.R. came under command and Bn advanced down track THINBAUNG-KABWET about 1500 hrs and encountered enemy opposition about 1 mile N of KABWET. 'B' Coy made outflanking movement to West of KABWET, 'A' Coy advanced to area Temple N.E. of KABWET. Bn HQ and 'C' Coy F.F.R. formed box West of track about 1 mile N of KABWET. During night enemy attacked 11th Sikhs in their perimeter. Own casualties - NIL. Reference to Appendice: None.
