| Entry | Bn, less 'A' Coy continued advance. Held up by heavy enemy fire about 1 mile North of LEIKTU. Casualties - Lieut Ridley (B Coy) killed, 1 O.R. wounded. Bn formed perimeter, 'D' Coy remained 250 yds South outside perimeter in contact with enemy. Enemy shelled and mortared Bn position whilst digging in during afternoon. Casualties - Lieut Parslow & 11 O.Rs wounded & evacuated to A.C.S. 'A' Coy passed under command 4/4 G.R. Reference to Appendice: None. |
