Regiment 2nd Royal Berkshire
Location Thityabin, Burma
Entry HQ Coy returned to Bn. 'A' Coy remained in position near railway line. Bn advanced about 1 1/2 miles South. Little opposition. Casualties - L/S Williams killed. No 11 Pl 'B' Coy moved round behind enemy outpost position during afternoon. Remainder 'B' Coy moved round onto road further to South of 11 Pl during evening. During night 27/28 11 Pl ambushed enemy trying to escape, and killed one Jap officer, body recovered, probably inflicting other casualties, bodies not found. Trophies recovered - one Jap officers sword, and Japanese flag. (Will be sent to Regtl Store in Bombay) as well as other personal eqpt of Jap officer. Reference to Appendice: None.
