Extract from Inspecting Officer's report:- "This unit is deficient of approx 186 all ranks and has no Q.M. or R.S.M. It is deficient of the majority of its CSMs and is short of officers. This is a good unit - but due to continued deficiencies in personnel I do not consider it fit for war. Further, if the policy of keeping this unit seriously understrength will ultimately affect its morale." Percentage of non-swimmers in the Bn 31.2%.
