Entry LOCATION Nonniyala (1 - 17) MOVES 17th. Left Nonniyala for concentration Ex 'FOG'. TRAINING Jungle Warfare and Open Warfare M.T. Div (19 Ind Div). EXERCISES 1 - 3. Ex 'TIMOTHY' TEWT for C.Os. Object:- To study the close co-operation of tanks, Eng, Inf, & R.A. in an Eastern theatre. 22 June - 1 July. Ex 'FOG' 19 Div, 251 Ind Tk Bde, 225 Gp R.A.F. v 25 Ind Div. Objects:- (i) To exercise tps with R.A.F. (ii) To practice the handling of Recce Regts. (iii) To give scope for the employment of tanks both in an independent role & in close co-operation with inf (iv) To practice the new Ind Inf Div (MT) organisation - Jeeps & 15 cwts (FWD) OFFICERS Strength as at 27 June 43. Besly attended 7th Course at Corps Battle Sch & obtained 'A'. Capt F.K. Carter attended 7th Course at Corps Battle Sch & obtained 'B'. Capt J.L. Francis, Lieut R.V. Vanderfelt and Lieut C. Simmons attended Course in Jungle Warfare at G.H.Q. Jungle warfare school & 'Passed'. OTHER RANKS Strength as at 27 June 43.
