| Entry | The CO returned from India today. He was unable to contact General Sir MC Depmsey KCB, DSO, MC but saw the Div Cdr who is going to write to the Army cdr and ask if in view of our depleted numbers we may cease to be under his command and if possible return to India to reform. It seems certain that we shall remain in India or Burma for some time yet. When the repats depart (Oct 7th) it will not be possible to promote to WE and maintain the required standard so it is intended to form a cadre to teach men to become NCO's |
