Entry | Force at WAKEMA has been ordered to withdraw to MAYAUNGMA. 1700hrs. Patrol returned to PYAPON from KYAIKLAT. Although personnel who embarked ex UK in April 1942 are not yet eligible for repatration. There is a certain amount of space on ships in RANGOON harbour and rather than waste it a proportion of these men will be sent shortly. The Bn has been given 119 vacancies and has 232 eligible personnel in RANGOON area. Vacancies have been sub-allotted to coys in proportion to the number of eligible personnel. HQ coy 58, A coy 15, B coy 5, C coy 26, D coy 15. Coys will give priority to compassionate cases and to men with children whom they have not seen. Remainder of vacancies will be balloted. HQ coy will sub-allot to pltns so that the Bn will not be too hard hit in any particular specialist pltn. |
