| Entry | 0830hrs. One pltn departed PYAPON for KYAIKLAT. They were to accompany SCAO to investigate reported arms dump which may be defended. On the situation clarifying there SCAO will proceed with section to DEDAYE to establish a police post. 1220hrs. GOC South Burma District visited the Bn today. He walked round the Bn lines. Congratulatory telegram on the end of the war received from Major General R J Collins CB, CMG, DSO. 1700hrs. Remainder of 7 pltn arrived PYAPON. Also the section which was sent out at the request of SCAO on Aug 16th. Lt J J Wise arrived Rangoon attached C coy. Lt K A Beverely promoted A/Capt WEF Aug 16tg. Capt H Kitney MBE rejoined unit from 38 BGH. |
