Entry 0830hrs. A Coy Cdr leaves for detailed recce of LEDAUNGGON area, with Coy recce party. 1000hrs. Bn R group (less A Coy) leaves for detailed recce of rd and rly br area 5844. 1530hrs. A Coy recce party returns. It is not possible to accomodate the Coy in LEDAUNGGON village. DABEIN village is however, suitable (MR 7766). The br at 691579 has been blown by the Japs, presumably when they withdrew from RANGOON. This will make patrolling rds LEDAUNGGON - TOGYUNGALE 5945 and LEDAUNGGON - THAYETPINCHANG 7451 difficult. 1600hrs. The Bde Cdr has agreed that A Coy may move to DABEIN vice LEDAUNGGON. Patrols to be sent out SW to LEDAUNGGON, along track WEST of PEGU RIVER. Move to take place tomorrow 20 June 45. 11 x 3ton trucks, 1 x 1.5cwt truck and 1 x jeep report at A Coy at 0900hrs 20 June 45 to move Coy. 3 x 3ton trucks to return to MTO when move completed. Remainder of transport to remain with Coy to withdraw there via NLEGU 6174 or TOGYANGALE if first not possible. A Coy will not become involved in a major action. ADMIN.
