| Entry | 1100hrs. Victory Parade before Lord Louis Mountbatten (SACSEA) in Rangoon. The Guard of Honour consisting of one Major (MAJOR FHB BOSHELL), one Captain (CAPT DA WILKINSON) and 50 other ranks from this Battalion, plus a detachment of Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force led the march past of unit detachments from the formations in Burma. Rain spoiled the day, but even so it was an impressive sight. Lt Gen Sir Oliver Leese, C in C ALFSEA congratulated the Bn Guard of Honour on their turnout and drill and overall smartness. |
