War Diary

1945-05-26
Regiment 1st Royal Berkshire
Location INSEIN, BURMA
Entry The CO and Adjutant again visited Rangoon to look at the guards to be done by C Coy. It is obvious that one Coy cannot manage them, so the Battle Patrol is going to be sent to join C Coy to assist. The guards, at the moment, will take 2 Coys, to perform them properly, but no accommodation can be found for another Coy in Rangoon! The additional pl (BP) has strained C Coys accommodation. In addition to this the Government House guard, which C Coy has now taken over, is of the utmost importance from the smatrness and turnout point of view. This alone, to be done properly absorbs one pl at a time.
