Entry | 0700 hrs. First group passes Bn. S.P. 0730 hrs. First gp reaches Bde SP. A gunner regt of 19th Div is going into action, and has to pass along our road for a distance. Our convoy waits for them to go through. 0815 hrs. First MT gp passes Bde SP. The first part of the journey was slow (from Bde SP to SAGA-IN(4541), owing to the track being a bulldozed one over paddy and waste land. The speed quickened from SAGA-IN to MYUTHA, and then dropped again due to the track again being a bulldozed one over rocky outcropped land, until NABUAING was reached. Here the main road to MYINGYAN was reached, and speed was good, despite long delays at two demolished bridges. The bulk of the Bn arrived at 1730 hrs approx. 10 vehicles were missing, owing to mechanical breakdown. These all came in, the last one arriving at 2300 hrs approx. The whole Bn is situated at ZIDAW 6898 (map 84 0/7). Summary. This month has been one of movement.
