Entry The enemy gun area, which the 2DLI have not been able to eliminate, still holds out. Own arty still harassing, and no gun activity (enemy) has taken place since early morning, when 6 rds were fired principally at B and Bn HQ area. 1500 hrs. 9 Japs were found by the Padre and Adjutant concealed in long grass by the S bank of the MYINTGE RIVER, about 200 yards from B Coy perimeter. A Battle Patrol blitz party eliminated them. A pontoon class 9 bdge has now been built at 558471, for 4th I.B. operations. This is being used to supply D Coy, who are now able to have their cookhouse with them, their blanket rolls and large packs. A Coy are to attack the enemy gun area tomorrow, following an air strike, arty and mortar bombardment.
