Entry | 0700 hrs. Bn commenced march on axis NABEBIN (220495) and THABAUNG to TAUKSHAGON, C Coy leading. 1 pl of this Coy was mounted on carriers, and as they approached TAUKSHAGON 10 Japs ran out and were dealt with. The patrol fired the village, and as it was blazing many Japs ran into NYAUNGONN (3146). Arty and a very small air strike was put on to this village. The Bn then dug in for the night. Dispositions were C, HQ Coy and Bn HQ at 308449, A,B and D Coys on high ground at 300455. A quiet night. 1745 hrs. Bde op instructions no. 02214 received. |
