Entry | 0200 hrs. Jap patrols: one 4/5 in number passed EAST of D Coy and looked at C Coy, but did not approach close enough to make firing worth while by own troops. Second one 7/8 in number came up to D Coy wire, and when fired on scattered, firing a red [ ] when doing so. The Coy claim to have wounded 3 Japs. Own casualties 1 wounded, who subsequently died. 1900 hrs. Patrol to be sent to TAMABIN on right 4/5 March. 2300 hrs to 0200 hrs. Jap patrol again on D Coy wire on SOUTH side. 1 Jap killed. Own casualties - nil. 2000 - 2200 hrs. Enemy shelling 75 and 105 mm guns. All falling outside own tps area. Remarks. Died of wounds. 5336678 Pte BREWER R. |
