Entry | 0900 hrs. Bn commenced the march to a conc area at 125595 preparatory to crossing the river. 1100 hrs. Bn in position ready to be ferried over. Foot recce parties (1 officer and 1 runner per Coy plus the C.O.) have gone ahead over the river. 1200 hrs. Order of march for crossing : A, B, Tac HQ, C, Main HQ, D Coys. First party started to cross. Ferrying is carried out by DUWCK and pontoon rafts. 1430 hrs. Whole Bn on SOUTH bank of IRRAWADDY RIVER, moving to area 104575 to dig in. 1600 hrs.
