Entry | 1000 hrs. The Brigadier (BRIG. SMITH) with the Staff Captain (CAPT. J. WHITEHEAD) visited the Battalion, and toured D and A Coy areas. 1100 hrs. Three War Correspondents visited the area, and talked with the officers and men. During the day there was a certain amount of traffic on the IRRAWADDY in front of the Bn area. It consisted of small fishing boats and two or three larger sampans. These are always manned by persons, who look like Burmans. During the night there was an amount of MT traffic in and behind KYAUKTALON village, coupled with the sounds of hammering of stakes. |
