Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry The Bn arrived at MS 98 at 1805 hrs and the CO said that he had received orders to form a box at MS 103. A hurried meal by the road side and the Bn pushed on in tpt with only an armoured car leading the coln. We had under comd 1 bty of 10 Fd Regt, the guns actually travelling in the coln, and an A.D.S. from 6th Fd Amb. We arrived at 1935 hrs and formed a box in the dark round the vehs which had to be left on the road. During the night a party of about six Japs bumped into the box and were fired on. At daylight we brought in two wounded Japs and one unwounded prisoner.
