| Entry | Operation GEORGE commenced. Bn moved in MT and debussed at KHASHAMA village and formed a box around Bde tac HQ. A patrol from A Coy went out to try and locate posn on the spur in front of the village. The patrol achieved its object and reported Jap posns on the spur near the rd. The patrol comd, Lieut F.J.Oliver - Jones was killed (the only casualty). At 1720 hrs orders for operation LEONARD issued (*Appendx "H"). The CO gave his orders at 2120 hrs.
