Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry In the early hours of the morning intense mortar and spring grenade fire was directed into the whole area and the front of the A.D. sector heavily attacked. Casualties to our tps very light when daylight came it was discovered that a party of some 15 had entered the perimeter and causing heavy casualties by sniping. These were successfully wiped out to a man by 2 Pln. An attempt to enter the perimeter by means of scaling ladders was frustrated by A Coy by midday the situation had been restored. Estimated Japanese casualties at least 100 killed, our casualties not yet known. The early part of the night was quiet with intermittent spring grenading.
