Location RAIPUR, Burma
Entry Bn was withdrawn from its positions and the 1/Royal Scots and 1/8 Lancashire Fusiliers took over. The Bn was sent forward to the 42 d m/s to take up a position as a Bn. As the Commanding Officer was moving forward he was called to a Bde conference and told that one company was to come under command of the RAJPUTS and another under command of the 1/1 PUNJABS. The C.O. rejoined the Bn at 1700 hrs to find that the Coys had been put in position by Major F A BOSHELL. 'D' Coy were detailed to go to the RAJPUTS and 'C' Coy to the 1/1 PUNJABS. The positions of the remainder of the Bn were readjusted accordingly and the first priority was digging in. A quiet night with much activity from the troops round about.
