| Entry | Exercise VIKING IV commenced at 04.30 hrs the Bn was taking the part of enemy and this was made very realistic by dressing 60% of the troops in mock Japanese uniforms. (In the initial stages of the battle the landing force encountered stiff resistance and did not make very quick progress. The exercise continued as per plan until 17.35 when due to the fact that the navy could not re-embark the landing troops later than 21.00 hrs the exercise had to be cancelled at 17.35. |
