Location MAHABLESHWAR, Burma
Entry The bn left KIRKEE by road at 0830 hrs and arrived back in camp by 1500 hrs. (This move was reported to the Div Commander as being an excellent example of good M.T. discipline and covert procedures by all ranks. "Bourlon Wood Day" was not celebrated owing to this move but all ranks hope to be able to do so in the near future). (During the month a cooking competition was held and a high standard acheived by all the cook houses. First prize was eventually awarded to 'A' Coy, but all companies produced excellent results. Upon the bn's arrival back from Bombay it was announced that all ranks who have had malaria since August were to undergo a special course of quinine treatment. This will effect 300 all ranks and will be put into practice early next month.)
