Entry MOHAKIR patrol returned having found set route impossible for carriers and having travelled to MOHAKHAIR by beach. SHABE BAZAR patrol returned having found route impossible for mules. An unfortunate accident caused by the explosion of a box of No 69 grenades occurred at 1130 hrs. This explosion caused the death of C.S.M. Sutton and Ptes Hill, Hines and Matthews. Ten others were injured and taken to Hospital including Sgt Doyle who had a leg amputated. Foot patrol sent out to FAKIRA BAZAR.
