Entry OC Carrier Platoon sent for at 0800 hrs to go and investigate an enemy patrol which had established a position with MGs on Bde L of C. Used mainly for recce by Bde Cmdr. A Coy ordered to move 2 Pls into area Pl 364 5207 relieving R.W.F. Relief complete by Mid-day. Relief Standing Patrol of B Coy to 803 ambushed on arrival. Patrol arrived back in B Coy area after Stand-Down. Lt W. MACKAY and one OR MISSING, 1 OR WOUNDED. Party of D Coy ambushed on 7/4/43 numbering 11 returned.
