Entry CAPTAIN FM BARTON sent out to see if he could locate any of our abandoned supplies. He returned with a certain number of containers and 24 tins of Bulley Beef. This saved any more Emergency Ration being consumed. D Coy ordered to re-assume its old positions - this completed - area being fired before re-occupation. 1600 hrs. Order received to re-join HOPFORCE. It is interesting to note that owing to the sudden departure of Command Post not all codes, cyphers etc. were [ ] This message came in three different codes all of which could not be deciphered, eventually the Gunner Range tables were used for codes and the message was [ ] then received. This was cancelled at 1730 hrs.
