Location Indin, Burma
Entry Bn was established in the INDIN area. On orders from HOPFORCE Lt.Col Rew D.S.O moved his command post from KAUKPANDU to the area of the YWATHI PASS to take command of the 2 Coys C and D who were holding the area. On arrival he reorganised the defences pushing both Coys further forward and holding the gap with Command Post. In the evening D Coy on moving forward had one platoon ambushed but suffered no casualties. Before leaving HQ HOPFORCE COL HOPKINS suggested that by holding the feature Pt 191 South of the Pass its force would be able to carry out the role of covering both approaches to INDIN more adequately. This he decided to do 1 pl C Coy was withdrawn to the pass area at 2300 hrs and the withdrawal was carried on during the night. Remarks: COMMAND POST included the AA platoon and the FIGHTING PATROL. An F.O.D.'s party was also included.
