| Entry | Disembarked at 04.30 hrs. The band and drums of the 2nd Bn. came down the quayside to play us to the Station. The train was an hour and a half late in arriving, so they remained on the platform and played until the train finally pulled out. Photograph of the officers of both Battalions taken at Colaba Barracks, Bombay, is attached as appendix. We arrived at Ahmadnagar Station at 22.30 hrs. Tea and rolls were supplied near the station by a contractor, after which there was a six mile march to STUD FARM CAMP where the Bn. is quartered. |
