Entry 0930hrs. Tac HQ and "B" and "C" Coys move from SINDEREN BEEK, 4 SOM LI firm in VARSEVELD. Remainder of Bn still in SINDEREN. 1210hrs. "B" and "C" Coys to cross SLINGER BEEK without tank sp. Bridge at 122740 suitable only for infantry. 1240hrs. "B" Coy across BEEK. NO opposition from Inf. Enemy 20 mm and one SP firing intermittently 1313hrs. "B" and "C" Coys both in posn. Line of fwd troops 118745-127743-135744. 1330hrs. "B" Coy have cleared WOODS to their WEST - 1174, without opposition. 1900hrs. Bn to be prepared for relief by 5 DORSETS (130 Bde) at 0600 hrs 1 Apr approx. "A" "D" Coys - rear Bn HQ still in area SINDEREN 1267. Bn prepared to follow up armoured thrust gp on 1 Apr.
